Located in the heart of Manchester’s city centre, The Aviary at 58 Mosley Street is a multi-award-winning, energy-efficient building designed to set new standards for sustainable workplaces. Developed by the TSK Group and designed by jmarchitects, the seven-storey scheme underwent a comprehensive refurbishment to elevate both its environmental performance and user experience.
As part of the wider improvement works, Concept Cubicle Systems was appointed to supply and install premium washroom solutions that complemented the building’s refined aesthetic. The aim was to create a space that mirrored the sophistication and modernity of the office interiors while providing long-term durability and functionality.

To achieve this, we installed our Identity Cubicle System, alongside Duct Panels and Solid Surface Vanities across the washrooms, which also features Amron Architectual’s eyecatching perforated R30 T40 wall panels.
The Identity range was selected for its flush-fronted design, which creates a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that perfectly aligns with the building’s contemporary interiors. Finished in Pfleiderer Super Matte Black externally and Pfleiderer Grey Sonoma Oak internally, the cubicles offer a striking contrast of tones, bold yet natural. The floor-to-ceiling design looks smart and cohesive while giving users complete privacy.
Complementing this, the Duct Panel System and Vanity Fascias, also in Pfleiderer Grey Sonoma Oak, deliver a consistent and professional appearance throughout the washrooms. Our Solid Surface Vanity Units in Durasein Silver Falls provide a crisp white counterpoint to the darker cubicles, with matt black ironmongery, taps, and soap dispensers complementing Amron’s matt black panels, tying the design scheme together.

Beyond the visual appeal, the Identity range demonstrates how value-engineered design can make high-end, flush-fronted aesthetics accessible to more commercial projects without compromising on quality or longevity. Additionally, this project is a fantastic example of how our products can work in harmony with a range of interior design finishes, as shown by how perfectly our systems slot in alongside Amron Architectural’s textured panelling.
Completed over 16 weeks, the result is a washroom environment that feels both elegant and understated, balancing a clean, minimalist design with practical durability. This Manchester-based commercial refurbishment, which has recently been nominated for a prestigious MIX Interiors award*, demonstrates the value in refreshing old spaces as opposed to starting from scratch, resulting in a space that feels fresh and forward-thinking.
